# Rivermere leisure visitor questionnaire This specification owns the numbered requirements, independently of either language implementation. The recall period is the last 90 days (about three months) at interview. The reference visit is the respondent's most recently completed qualifying visit. The target length is 10–15 minutes and has not been measured. All shown questions require an answer. Text can explicitly record “None” or “Not sure” where the prompt allows it. Codes are analytical identities, not ranks. Single questions accept exactly one offered code. Multi questions accept one or more offered codes; code 99 is exclusive and cannot coexist with another code. Every Other is a closed code with a separately routed, required text question. | Number / ID | Question and answer contract | Asked when | | --- | --- | --- | | 1 / q01 | This fictional study asks about leisure visits to Rivermere. An under-18 answer shows only q01–q02. Non-domestic residency shows only q01–q03. A nonqualifying recent visit shows only q01–q04. Each ends as `screenout`; no eligible-study questions are shown. 2. The most recent visit reference remains constant through every trip, spending and experience item. No question switches to all visits or a typical visit. 3. Day visitors skip q08, q14, q15 and q25. Overnight visitors answer q08, q14 and q25; q15 additionally requires the Other accommodation code. 4. Solo visitors skip q11. Other travel-party and transport text appears only after their respective Other codes, independently of each other. 5. q16, q18 and q32 permit several ordinary codes. Their code 99 alone is valid; a mixed 99/ordinary proposal is refused without advancing or saving it. 6. Every selected Other activates its separately numbered text question. Every unselected Other leaves that text question absent. “Other” is never silently retained as an unexplained category. 7. q21 and q27 both require q20=1. Refusal and unknown spending do not become zero, and do not block the remaining visit-experience questions. 8. q26 requires the food/drink activity code. No selection of that activity leaves q26 absent, even if another activity or Other was selected. 9. Numeric limits are inclusive, reject decimals and out-of-range values, and keep the respondent at the same question after refusal. Age 18, one night, two party members, zero spend and recommendation endpoints are valid. 10. Text limits count entered characters. Required text cannot be omitted; separate Other fields have a 160-character cap and q30/q31 a 400-character cap. This packet does not require automated coding or word-count policies. 11. After the final applicable answer, the successful outcome is `complete`. ODIN code 18 means complete and code 19 means screenout for this packet. Exact ordered question paths and key absent questions are fixture-owned. Numeric upper limits are explicit instrument bounds, not population estimates. Authors should review them during piloting. Findings should distinguish party from person units, applicable from skipped items, and unknown from substantive answers. This packet needs a methodology and wording review before real use.
